The Life Counseling Center is located in downtown Clayton, North Carolina, approximately twenty miles from the epicenter of Raleigh and the Research Triangle Park. The business office is open from 9-5 pm; however, I see clients in my counseling room in the evenings and weekends as well as during the regular business day. I counsel individuals, couples, and families.
I often counsel women and children for emotional and sexual abuse. Many of my clients struggle with bipolar illness, anxiety disorder, depression, and sexual dysfunction. Individual treatment options depend on the nature of the problems, some responding well to short term therapy, and others requiring ongoing stabilization. You can be assured that your treatment will be designed to help you recover as speedily as possible so that you can move forward in your life as a spiritually and emotionally whole person.
Couples treatment is usually about 6-8 sessions in length. Whenever possible, I help couples move toward peaceful reconciliation and resolution, whatever their decision is about remaining in the marriage. Often just a few sessions can help get a couple back on track if they will seek counseling before it is too late.
I treat children and adolescents from ages 6-18 for a variety of childhood conditions and often help families find alternative treatments for such common problems as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavior disorders. However, if I feel it to be necessary, I will help you arrange for your child to be assessed by a psychiatrist whom I trust who will provide your child the care he/she may need.
